Chicago Women in Philanthropy (CWIP) is a community of philanthropic, corporate-giving, and nonprofit women and non-binary individuals. Our members are passionate about helping women and girls advance in society. Our mission is to build an inclusive community that educates and empowers professional women to grow personally and professionally and to advocate boldly for themselves and their communities.
Up next in our CWIP in Focus series, we feature Austin Shipman (she/her), a new CWIP member engaged in the Women’s Leadership and Mentoring Program (WLMP) and the Membership Committee. Austin grew up in a small farming community in Washington State. During high school, she participated in an exchange program in Buenos Aires and fell in love with large cities. Her time in Argentina sparked a lifelong interest in studying how city residents interact and function—independently and together.
WE HAVE A GROUP OF FEARLESS LEADERS HELPING US ACHIEVE OUR VISION.
Our events are designed to create community, change, and cameraderie. We boast a robust calendar of events including workshops, programs, and luncheons for CWIP members to get engaged.
