Nonprofit agencies are looking for effective, new ways to improve their organizational capacities and collaborative strategies. Many organizations are exploring the concept of engaging service-learning members (from programs such as AmeriCorps) as a way to bolster their current staff while supporting the professional development of future nonprofit leaders.
Within the Chicago metro area, a variety of service-learning organizations are available to partner with nonprofits. Join CWIP to find out if service-learning programs are right for your organization!
Speakers will explore
Fulfilling philanthrophy's role in leadership development;
Obtaining funding for participation for such programs;
Building a leadership base; and
Addressing program investment and management.
Fellows from year-long faith-based programs and Public Allies will share their hands-on experiences from these
service-learning/leadership development opportunities.
Who should attend?
Human resource directors and other leaders at
non-profit agencies; and
Program officers and other leaders at foundations and other funding organizations.
